Broken Sword heading to Wii and DS

Ubisoft has just confirmed that the original Broken Sword will be making its way to the Wii and DS under the name Broken Sword: The Director’s Cut. According to the numerous NeoGAF members freaking out over the news, this is a good thing.

Being a fan of point-and-click adventures, I’m definitely hyped for what some claim to be the best adventure game ever. Along with revamped controls and new animations by Dave Gibbons, there’s going to be added puzzles, locations and an expanded story. Basically, there’s a hell of a lot of new content.

Broken Sword is being developed by Revolution, with Ubisoft publishing. Thankfully, Ubisoft has refrained from adding a ‘Z’ to the end of the title, as is typical for its Wii titles.

Here, have some screenshots.
